Artist - Jacob Paterson

Artist Statement -

Tangi-te-keo (Cry of the Wind) is one of the original names for Mount Victoria. 

Cry of the Wind features paintings of Mount Victoria. It is an exploration of the smallness and awe one can feel on the side of a mountain - carved by an ancient taniwha - or standing underneath old trees with the Wellington wind howling above.  

Jacob Paterson is a Poneke based artist and designer. Born in Christchurch, he has lived in Wellington for eight years. This is Jacob's first solo show.
