Artist - Sophie Arbuckle

Sophie's collection of ceramics is influenced by ancient Greek shapes and symbols, reimagined through a contemporary lens.

It is deeply rooted in the artist's love for the sea and commitment to marine conservation.

A passionate free diver, Sophie draws inspiration from her experiences exploring Wellington’s marine reserve, where she observes the once again thriving saline ecosystems.

These works serve as both a tribute to ancient maritime cultures and a call to protect the fragile beauty of our underwater world.

Join us for the opening of a new body of ceramic work by award winning ceramicist Sophie Florence Arbuckle, this Thursday 10th July, between 5:30 & 8:30pm.

This event is kindly supported by AORAKI SALMON.
